The FC Vancouver Justice U15 Girls have made it to the Regional Tournament in Hawaii.

The FCV Justice wish to thank the various organzations for their contributions to the Region IV Championships effort in Hawaii! It was greatly appreciated.
The girls drew a bracket that was unbelievably challenging: Arizona Hammers, So Cal Blues (nationally ranked); So Cal Slammers (1st or 2nd in country depending on the polls you look at). In fact the So Cal Slammers team won the entire Region IV championship and are undoubtedly favored to win the National Championship in Arkansas next month. We'll have to see.
The soccer being played at this tournamnet, for this age, is thte best that the Justice have been involved with. The Justice beat the Arizona team 2-0 but then got handed defeats by the 2 Cal teams 2-0 (Blues) and 4-0 (Slammers). The Slammers were a treat to watch. Their skills of nearly every player were incredible. While the Justice have a few kids that could match their skills, in the end the depth was just too overwhelming. Their touch on the ball, spacing, set plays, etc., were all elite level soccer.
The fact that the Justice were able to facee these teams will make the Justice much better players in the future. The experience they just gained is immeasureable.
Finally, the place was crawling with college scouts. Pretty much the whole Pac 10, Michigan, both Portland schools, Santa Clara, Texas, Cal Poly, San Diego and SD State, Hawaii, and more were represented. They were very apparent, that is they wore their colors as if they really wanted to be noticed. There is no question that for the premier level player, this tournament at this age group and higher is the place to get noticed.
